Dr. Kevin P. Shura, DVM
Dedicated Doctor with 36 years in animal care. Knowledgeable about the latest advances in medical technology and surgical techniques for animals. Engages in continuing education on new medications, and diagnostic/treatment modalities to improve practice
Dr. Susan Calverley, DVM
After graduating from WCVM in 1991, Dr Susan jumped into practice ownership in Mission, BC for 23 years. An interest in Physiotherapy led her to becoming certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist in 2009 and an ongoing relationship with Orthopets measuring and fitting veterinary orthotics and prosthetics. With well over 400 cases now she is a partner clinic and medical director of Orthopets Vancouver. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking and spending time with family on the gulf islands.
Dr. Phil Andersen, DVM
Dr. Phil Andersen graduated from the WCVM in 1987 with Distinction, and High Recommendation from the University of Pennsylvania. He has had a varied practice background where he owned the largest practice in Langley, BC. He has done locums all over the province and Western Canada that have brought him experience in all species and situations. He has done hundreds of orthopedic procedures and can manage your pet in either very low-cost options or with the greatest of depth in diagnostics.
Dr. Hannah Weitzenfeld, DVM
Hannah Weitzenfeld knew from an early age that helping pets and their people was her passion. Since graduating from the University of Guelph in 2008, Hannah has worked in the lower mainland of BC, mainly with canine and feline patients. She is experienced with triaging pet patients and providing practical pet health options and solutions. She looks forward to getting to know you and your four-legged friends and working together to keep them healthy!
Dr. Doron Lis, DVM
Dr. Lis graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and aside from a stint volunteering in Uganda with Veterinarians Without Borders, he has been working as a clinician ever since. He was worked in dozens of emergency and general veterinary practices throughout BC and Nova Scotia exhibiting proficiency in surgery and medicine. Dr. Lis enjoys the challenge of working with all sorts of animals ranging from cats and dogs to rabbits, birds and reptiles. His family, including his wife, two young children, and their Himalyan cat, “Leo”, live on the North Shore and spend as much time as possible outdoors enjoying the forest, mountains and sea.
Dr. Kamil Svancara, DVM
Dr. Kamil Svancara has been living and fully enjoying an active, healthy lifestyle on the North Shore since early 1992. He graduated from a Veterinary University in Czechoslovakia in 1986, where he worked after graduation as a mixed animal practitioner and then immigrated to Canada in 1989. Moved to B.C. in 1992, where he owned and operated 2 veterinary hospitals. Other areas of his interests include exotic pets medicine including birds, reptiles and other small furry companion pets.
